UniPrep is an independent, student-run platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shiv Nadar University (SNU) or Shiv Nadar Foundation.
1. Information We Collect
When you use UniPrep, we collect the following information:
- Account Information: Your name and email address (collected via Google OAuth, restricted to @snu.edu.in domain).
- Payment Information: Transaction IDs and payment confirmation details. We do not store your card numbers, UPI IDs, or banking credentials — all payment processing is handled securely by our payment gateway partner.
- Usage Data: Pages visited, content accessed, and timestamps for the purpose of platform improvement and access control.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- To process purchases and grant access to purchased courses.
- To apply digital watermarks (email-based) on downloadable content for anti-piracy purposes.
- To communicate service-related updates (e.g., access expiry notifications).
- To improve platform performance and user experience.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate UniPrep:
- Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage (hosted in the cloud).
- Cloudflare R2: Secure video content storage and delivery via time-limited signed URLs.
- Payment Gateway: Secure payment processing. We do not have access to your payment instrument details.
- Vercel: Website hosting and deployment.
- Google OAuth: Authentication via your SNU Google Workspace account.
These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
4. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Purchase records are retained for accounting and dispute resolution purposes. Content access is semester-bound and expires on the designated End-Term exam date for each course.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission.
- Secure, time-limited signed URLs for content delivery.
- Server-side authentication checks on all API endpoints.
- Row-Level Security (RLS) on our database.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@uniprep.dev. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies strictly for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of UniPrep after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
